Nesflash: eating meat is a violent act (Apr 27 2004 18:58 GMT) - newsjunkie sent in news of a pig slaughter, which wouldn't normally be news, but this was, I suppose, "unplanned" or something. Five youths are suspected in the beating and torture of several pigs at a high school barn (two pigs died in the attack). Someone was nice enough to ask "if you have kids doing this to animals, what are they going to do with the other kids?", and it was probably rhetorical, but I'm wondering about the parents of kids, who might work in slaughterhouses.
