Latina Girls Magazine Launches Teen Version (Apr 27 2004 23:16 GMT) - Students at the University of Texas at Austin founded Latinitas, a bilingual online magazine for Latina pre-teens. Latinitas, for girls ages 9-14, celebrated its one year anniversary of publication on March 15, by launching a sister version of the magazine, Teen Latinitas, for teens and young women ages 15-20. |

Alderman accuses building commissioner of overstepping boundaries by pulling permit (Apr 27 2004 23:15 GMT) - Did Chicago's newly appointed buildings commissioner abuse his authority? Stan Kaderbek is accused of pulling a neighbor's building permit because his wife didn't like the way the remodeling job. Kaderbek said that's not true, but some aldermen feel Kaderbek overstepped his authority. The accusations come just weeks after Kaderbek was appointed to the position of buildings commissioner. |
