- Hotaru no Haka es el título original de esta película de animación de Isao Takahata, uno de los socios de estudios Ghibli, ya sabeis, los creadores de Mononoke, Porco Rosso, Chihiro, Kiki, Nausicaä y otras obras maestras de la animación. Esta es quizá una de las películas más tristes que he visto, empieza con la muerte por agotamiento y hambre de Seita, en el Japón de finales de agosto de 1945, el cual se reune con su hermana Setsuko, muerta dias antes, luego hace un flashback y nos cuenta la desesperada historia de dos hermanos, un adolescente y una niña de apenas 6 años, que tras los continuos bombardeos con bombas incendiarias quedan huerfanos de madre tras una espantosa agonia debido a las quemaduras que cubren todo su cuerpo y se ven obligados a sobrevivir en un mundo en guerra. No hay concesiones en esta película, es dura de principio a fin, no se centra en la desgracia, simplemente está ahí, y los pocos momentos dulces sólo sirven para que la desesperación sea aun mayor. Ah! como siempre, la edición en castellano tiene la siguiente coletilla "del director de Heidi y Marco", como algún padre le compre la película a su hijo y se la ponga sin haberla visto antes, tendrá al crio con una depresión de caballo durante meses. |
