What they proposed was Town Lake. In 1982, Tempe embraced the ASU-inspired concept of restoring the river and building a park around it. The lake opened in 1999. This semester, ASU architecture Professor Max Underwood and three other professors assigned 45 undergrads and 15 grad students the task of designing a boathouse on the north shore next to the new marina. |
