Dumpster Diving iMix (Apr 28 2004 13:59 GMT) - What better way to exploit the new iMix feature of iTunes than to revisit the grand ol' stinking pile of dung known as the What Do I Know Dumpster Diving playlist -- an excercise to find the worst songs on the iTunes Music Store and compile them all together in one handy playlist. Those with a strong stomach can now preview all the songs together through the Dumpster Diving iMix. With a little luck, and a few five star ratings, it'll be the Hasselhoff of the iTMS. |

True-Believers (Apr 28 2004 13:58 GMT) - I understand the fear of true-believers. Suicide bombers are true-believers. The scary fundamentalists baptists who warp the gospel behind walls of personal and public legislation are true-believers. Ironic distance is a much safer position, avoiding snowballs down mountains that roll... |

Some heh-ing about the creation of the iPod (Apr 28 2004 13:57 GMT) - Here's a bit of blogging about Tony Fadell, the guy who takes credit for the creation of the iPod. It's a bit of a silly thing to take credit for; devices like that are generally the creation of a group of people working together. I worked with Fadell at General Magic (where I was a very unimportant peripheral person), and I find this kind of story about him hilarious. To be fair, it was a decade ago now, and the loud young man who smashed things with a hockey stick has probably changed a lot. |
