Maroth Madness (Apr 29 2004 01:59 GMT) - I had the Game of the Day assigned to me to score this evening. I'm very impressed with Mike Maroth. He's working quickly, going after hitters, and getting a lot of weak fly balls and pop ups. He's quite a... |

Googled yourself, but not in the dirty way. (Apr 29 2004 01:58 GMT) - I was online yesterday, very bored, so I decided to take a look through the looking glass: I googled myself. It seems that anyone who has googled me would probably think a) I starve myself for science, b) I have been dead for a year. There's only a few things, research papers with NIH and this blog, to credit my existence... and neither show any real activity since about a year ago. |

Google to target PR hoarders. (Apr 29 2004 01:57 GMT) - Hi Tree, Welcome to the forums. I tend to try to focus upon writing pages for people. Fortunately, many of the practices that make sites rank well also make them work well for people. I've avoided javascript links because not everyone has java loaded on their computers. Even if Google starts following those, if there are still people surfing without java, I'd likely do without. |

I am thankful (Apr 29 2004 01:56 GMT) - I have borrowed this concept from Alison, who borrowed it from Lydia, who borrowed it from Libby, who probably borrowed it from someone else. I suggest you too take it up, and, as Alison wrote "take stock of all the good things for once." This isn't as eloquent, or as poetic. But it works. To quote Tolkien, "I am told that I talk in shorthand and then smudge it. |

This Year, Tablet PC Improves in Leaps and Bounds (Apr 29 2004 01:55 GMT) - This Year, Tablet PC Improves in Leaps and Bounds - Although the first-generation Tablet PC machines were based on underpowered Pentium III M chips that offered lackluster battery life, I could see promise in the platform, and Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition was a surprisingly solid 1.0 release. With the release of a machine based on Intels Centrino mobile platform in 2003, however, the Tablet PCs fortunes changed dramatically for the better. The Centrino--which consists of the powerful but battery-friendly Pentium M processor, an efficient supporting chipset, and a compatible wireless antenna (curiously limited to 11Mbps 802.11b technology in its initial iteration) is everything the Pentium III is not. |

Ryan Horn ? ? ? (Apr 29 2004 01:54 GMT) - Now who are you really? Before this goes any further, I suggest you ask your mother to read this forum's About section on your left. Read the Board Usage Guidelines and the Registration Requirements, which you've neglected to follow. You say you live in Illinois? You registered under a different name/location? |
