What tools do you use? (Apr 30 2004 02:52 GMT) - Excellent article. Thanks, Dave. I try to use Pen before I move on to some of the more advanced tools whenever I try messing with a new project. One of the first comments points to a Douglas Bowman page that is pretty good, too. A Design Process Revealed |

Computer Ownership (Apr 30 2004 02:51 GMT) - Atanu writes his thoughts on a discussion we were having as to why PC ownership is so low in India even among those who can afford to have one: If one ponders the question of why cobblers's children often go barefoot, one comes to the obvious conclusion that cobblers are traditionally poor and cannot afford the luxury of the same shoes that they produce for others. Bad writing, part deux (Apr 30 2004 02:50 GMT) - While we're talking about bad writing, I have a favour to ask of Darren's readers. I'm going to be developing and delivering a workshop on business writing for entrepreneurs, and I need fodder for the cannon. Do you have any examples of absolutely hideous (or just moderately incompetent) writing in a business setting? You don't even have to tell me WHO wrote it, and you're free to deny, deny, deny if you wish. I will remove all identifying material before teaching the class, to protect the guilty. |

FREE GOODIES (Apr 30 2004 02:50 GMT) - I don't know how many of you may have already seen this but it doesn't hurt to get the news out there. I am not looking to take advantage of the offer myself since I already have a XDN Professional membership, but I thought I should get the word out anyway. As a current XDN Memeber, I would highly recomend this to anyone. |
