- A video for "So Damn Lucky," from Dave Matthews solo album, Some Devil, has begun to air on VH1. It is not a video in the traditional sense -- it's simply footage of a single-take performance of the song in the streets of Dakar, from Dave Matthews' and Trey Anastasio's January trip to Senegal, which will presumably be included in the forthcoming documentary of that trip. Accordingly, the music is not the album version of the song, but consists of Dave and Trey playing guitar while several members of Orchestra Baobob improvise their contributions, such chanting vocals, clicking, whistling, and playing the drum. The whole thing comes off as endearingly awkward. The video can be seen on VH1's website. |
