80 percent of experts think Gates ridding spam within 2 years is unrealistic (Apr 30 2004 17:41 GMT) - ActiveWin.com: A survey of IT security professionals conducted at the Infosecurity show in London this week revealed that more than 80 percent of people do not think that Bill Gates' pledge to eliminate spam within two years is realistic.It may indeed not be realistic, but if Longhorn comes with some killer built-in anti-spam functions then it could certainly cripple the spam flow. I'm just happy that he's concerned about it and has made some sort of deadline that we all can look forward to -- even if the deadline shows only minor improvement. |
