- My Dad called me today, asking what his email password was (I set up his account). I questioned why he needed it and he said that he had just got an email from Ebay saying they were doing routine maintenence, asking to confirm not only his Ebay username and password, but his email address password aswell. I thought this sounded a bit fishy, so had a look at the email. It seemed very realistic, appearing to come from Ebay themselves, but I contacted them and they informed me that it was a new scam. Even the email header information did not look out of place. |
