Sundays Suck (May 10 2004 00:26 GMT) - No door on the shed yet, but Lin did get the front trees trimmed and the front yard mowed and edged. Aside from talking on the phone (several hours and several calls) with my mom and making lunch, I really haven't done anything at all today. I did spend some time trying to weatherize my web cam and set it up so I could broadcast KittenCam, but ... after nearly having a finger removed, and not being certain that my weatherizing would keep my cam safe from the incoming rain, I've temporarily suspended the idea. Until tomorrow sometime when I see that she is not anywhere nearby. |

Job opens up at another dream company (May 10 2004 00:25 GMT) - [JOB] Senior Perl Developer - Fotango is hiring, again. This is one of those times where I dream a few moments for being more mobile (read 'single'). But then I wake up and remember that I wouldn't trade being married to Barb for anything. |

Don't Misunderestimate Him (May 10 2004 00:25 GMT) - Jacob Weisberg is a columnist for Slate and editor of the famous "Bushisms" books -- compilations of George W. Bush's famous misstatements and malapropos. The question Weisberg is most often asked, he says, is whether he thinks the president of the United States is really that dumb. His answer: yes and no. |

Re: Travel Log (May 10 2004 00:24 GMT) - Hi Karl, I'm so had you had a nice time and a chance to see a teardrop. We all really enjoyed meeting the two of you and hope that we can get together in the future for some camping and more visiting. We all hope to hear that your other projects will be completed soon and that you can get started on a teardrop. Good things are worth waiting for. Seems like you've got a good case of that mysterious illness, teardropitis, and you know the cure. |

Time Looks At Stem Cell Politics (May 10 2004 00:24 GMT) - The online edition of Time examines the current state of stem cell politics: "Today a brush-fire challenge to Bush's stem-cell policy is spreading across the U.S., fueled by the frustration of [families] who have allied themselves with patient activists for other diseases, major universities, several state legislatures and members of Congress." States and universities are forging ahead while efforts are underway to reverse the policies and threatened legislation that have blocked stem cell research for years. |

Senatorial Blasphemy (May 10 2004 00:20 GMT) - I've never been a fan of Senator Joseph Biden, but I think this should make even those who like him cringe. He said that Bush should "demand the resignations for whoever is involved in this policy, and that includes Lord God Almighty himself. It includes anybody involved." I can read... |
