WSOP Main Event, Day 6 (May 28 2004 01:57 GMT) - WSOP Main Event, Day 6 The World Series of Poker continues. Doyle Brunson got eliminated yesterday, leaving only two former champions - Dan Harrington (1995) and Chris Ferguson (2000) - at the beginning of today. Ferguson saw a lot of action today, getting knocked down to $3000, then hitting a hot streak and running that up to almost $200,000 in less than 20 minutes, all before finally getting knocked out for good an hour later. Play will continue today until 9 players - the final table - remain. |

Thompson's New Look (May 28 2004 01:46 GMT) - I understand that it takes some getting used to, but I've come to like Thompson's lion cut. Of course, it doesn't really matter if I like it or not- we had to give him the hair cut on vet's orders: he's got some dermotological issues that they are working on. Anyway, after the haircut he was pretty depressed, and didn't eat for 36 hours, but now he seems like he's back to his old self, albeit 2lbs lighter.... |

Away for a long weekend (May 28 2004 01:31 GMT) - Like most network administrators, I have far more vacation days available for me to take than I will probably ever use. I will get to take a step away from it all for the upcoming long weekend and head to New Hampshire for the weekend to visit some friends from Guild of the Zodiac, a gaming guild that I have been a member of for about seven years now. If you are a mature adult looking for some great gaming companions, I highly suggest you head over to the GotZ forums and introduce yourself. Tell them Omni sent you.... |

Sierra shakedown cruise (May 28 2004 01:22 GMT) - Got back home after about nine great days of peace and quiet. What a great little home away from home. I had to keep checking the mirror to make sure the tear was still behind me and on the way up there were some very gusty winds around Red Rock Canyon. Kept an eye in the mirror and the tear pulled rock steady. Can't think of anything I would have built different other than maybe changing the shelf heights an inch or so. |

Guest Ghost Blogger Primer (May 28 2004 01:12 GMT) - Taking charge of The Devil's Excrement as a Ghost Blogger is extremely difficult in any circumstance. Doing so during the so-called "reparo" process is, simply, daunting. I doubt anyone envies me. I won't say much about me as I think it will give me more freedom to write anonymously in the tradition of The Federalist Papers, albeit with much less talent. I live in Venezuela in a middle-class neighborhood and I have followed the Venezuelan pseudo-revolutionary process since its inception. |
