Broadband "black holes" persist across the United States, and as this user in our Roadrunner forum notes, the difference between the haves and have-nots can often be simply a few hundred feet - even with cable. Stuck in a zone of cable purgatory bet.. |

Lucire enters the real world (May 31 2004 22:54 GMT) - Lucire the fashion website becomes the next website to go real world with a magazine in newsagents. It's not the first (see Chud which publishes Movie Insider) but they've taken the step of putting the prototype May issue online in .pdf format and are asking readers for their input. How well can they do in an already crowded market place and is it significantly different for us to care? |

Hitting the wall (May 31 2004 22:43 GMT) - And on the subject of SUVs sucking, check out this comparison between crashing a MINI Cooper and a Ford F-150 Pickup (the latter is the basis of the Expedition.) Pay special attention to the crash dummies’ legs. These results are for hitting a wall at 40 MPH, and not representative of a head-on collision between the two. But, of course, I consider the whole bigger is better in a collision argument to be anti-social: |

This to me sounds like an interesting idea. However it's a little cumbersome to use for Intranet's and such. |

addendum (May 31 2004 22:30 GMT) - For all the superficial people who think that those of us who don't have society's idea of a perfect physique aren't worth it? I give you the song that just came on... A pretty woman makes her husband look small And very often causes his downfall As soon as he marries her then she starts Doing the things that will break his heart But if you make an ugly woman your wife Then you will be happy for the rest of your life An ugly woman cooks meals on time She'll always give you peace of mind If you want to be happy for the rest of your life Never make a pretty woman your wife So for my personal point of view Get an ugly girl to marry you So if your friends say you have no taste Go ahead and marry anyway Though her face is ugly her eyes don't match Take it from me she's a better catch Okay, so I'm amused. Listening to: "If You Want To Be Happy" - Jimmy Soul... |
