Some Evidence of Discrimination Against Atheists (Jun 10 2004 23:51 GMT) - The lack of studies on this matter makes it difficult to establish what I believe to be true. However, Margaret Downey presents some evidence in this article. She says she has compiled hundreds of incidence reports describing descrimination. Here is an example. Gray, Tennessee: |

95 Theses learned by the politician run over by Cluetrain (Jun 10 2004 23:50 GMT) - I fondly remember the good ol' days, Dot Com Parties galore, the New Economy, the feeling there was so much happening you must be missing something...everything moving so fast, taxi's speeding at twice the limit confident there would be somebody waiting to hop in when you got out. Culture occuring in real-time and if you weren't out of bandwidth you weren't doing something right. Cut'n'paste business plans beaming from handhelds, deals on cocktail napkins and drinks in company mugs. SFgirl posse emails with 10 pages of DCPs and only 15 hours until you had to be at work the following morning. |

(Jun 10 2004 23:50 GMT) - Baghdad's Sister City MakesMeRalph: "Evidently, the White House decided that Denver and the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG) had agreed to provide humanitarian assistance to Baghdad as a sister city. The White House promised that Denver -- which faces a possible $33 million budget shortfall in 2005 -- will give Baghdad 'humanitarian assistance' and 'other aid initiatives.' Let's send the Rockies. Vivier: Reves d'un Marco Polo (Jun 10 2004 23:50 GMT) - [gramec] - Současnou operu kanadského skladatele Clauda Viviera jsem v pátek viděl v Amsterdamu. Opera Reves d'un Marco Polo, je poměrně nezvyklá. Především jí chybí děj, což je tak trochu typické pro opery několik desítek let staré. Je to opera řeka, opera rituál, oslava života a smrti |

Dragon Lance (Jun 10 2004 23:49 GMT) - The only series of books that I can bring myself to reading is dragonlance. I find the antics of tas and the sheer evil desires of raistlin quite entertaining. However there is always the elves that I never quite cared about.. Most of the characters are pretty in depth. |

RSS Dave Winer: "Something is ... (Jun 10 2004 23:47 GMT) - RSS Dave Winer: "Something is not quite right when people say 'RSS is not going away anytime soon' and then say they want peace not war. That's arrogant, and tempting fate. As a longtime sports fan, I believe the time to declare victory is after you win, and then be humble, because your challenger is waiting in the wings (wait till next year, they say as you pour the champagne). My old friend Jean-Louis Gassee, the genius of sexual metaphor, calls this tactic, which is common among adolescent males and Silicon Valley tech companies, premature congratulation. |
