L'équipe aura donc la chance de participer au championnat du monde de la FIFA des moins de 19 ans en Thaïlande au mois de novembre. - Richard MacKinnon and I were interviewed by Marc Savlov for The Austin Chronicle, on the subject of Austin Wireless City, the totally-volunteer Austin nonprofit that's been that's created a growing list of free wireless hotspots in Austin, which now has more free wireless than any other city, thanks primarily to a model that is replicable anywhere: recruit volunteers to identify and coordinate with the venues, help them acquire connectivity and hardware, and set set 'em up on a network that monitors for problems that can be resolved by volunteer caretakers. "Business leaders don't always see the benefits of free Wi-Fi," notes MacKinnon. "They hear the term 'free,' and it scares them a little bit, but what they don't realize is that 'free' is generating a lot of money for people. It brings money into the community, it brings money into the hot spots, the coffee shops and so on – we're in Quack's right now, and all the gear that's in here was purchased from CompUSA and elsewhere in Austin. |
