Maidstone Dig uncovers a Roman bath house (Jun 15 2004 23:57 GMT) - Dig uncovers a Roman bath house: A Roman bath house thought to be part of a large villa has been found by archaeologists digging on a building site in Maidstone. In a month working on the site the archaeologists have uncovered parts of two sunken rooms - a plunge bath and a steam bath. They have also found footings outlining a small suite of heated and unheated rooms, drainage ditches, pottery, mosaic fragments and painted plaster. Beneath the villa a series of Iron Age ditches have been discovered, thought to be associated with a pre-Roman farmstead. |

Lost Google Traffic (Jun 15 2004 23:56 GMT) - I suddenly fell off the Google map for search terms I've held top position or first page rankings for a long time such as baklava, catfish noodling and how to smoke a cigar. My site was down about 4 days while I was on vacation, I suspect it is related to that outage. Either that or we just had some significant Google changes I haven't read about. Too bad because I was generating a lot of traffic with those links and traffic can be good if you know what I mean. ; |

Getting Web Site Users to Speak Their Minds (Jun 15 2004 23:55 GMT) - Quote: "The fundamental problem is that, in spite of what conventional wisdom tells us, it is not the voice of the consumer that matters.
