Red Hat Linux tops 300,000 subscribers (Jun 17 2004 23:44 GMT) - Red Hat now has over 300,000 subscribers to its Red Hat Enterprise Linux support service, the company said Thursday, during a conference call reporting the results of its first quarter of fiscal 2004. The company reported revenue of $41.6 million and net income of $10.7 million, or $0.05 per share, for the quarter, which ended May 31. |

Upgrade (Jun 17 2004 23:41 GMT) - nd found that it is a memory hog leaving very little system resources for other applications. He is only now noticing that Wife 1.0 also is spawning Child-Processes which are further consuming valuable resources. No mention of this particular phenomena was included in the product brochure or the documentation, though other users have informed him that this is to be expected due to the nature of the application.
