Not to get ahead of ... (Jun 18 2004 18:59 GMT) - Not to get ahead of ourselves here, but what comes next, after Iraq (or perhaps contemporaneously with some later stage of the Iraq project)? What will the policy of the United States be toward Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan? |

Secretary of Defense (Jun 18 2004 18:57 GMT) - Recent disclosures--and crass political realities--are making me lean more and more towards the "get rid of Rumsfeld" position. Well, it was fun while it lasted (Jun 18 2004 18:55 GMT) - On May 31st, I wrote:There's a new product our vet sold us, Pill Pockets -- really stinky cat treats with a hollowed-out center just the right size to conceal a pill. We've been putting the daily pill in the cat treat and she's been gobbling them down. I worried it wouldn't work -- she'd taste the medicine once and refuse hereafter -- but she hasn't got tired of them yet, and even begs for more after she's been pilled. Just FYI. |

They Keep Lying, We Keep Dying (Jun 18 2004 18:55 GMT) - While Bush and Cheney continue to lie today in their insistence that there were ties between Saddam Hussein and Al Qaeda (it's becoming increasingly clear that they are either: a) mentally ill, or b) pure evil), it is being reported that Paul M. Johnson, the American taken hostage in Saudi Arabia earlier this week has been executed by beheading (NY Times). This is the cost of completely ignoring the real terror threat. |
