SufferInTruth: My Lazy Setup Vs My Not Lazy Setup (Pictures) (Jun 30 2004 00:59 GMT) - QUOTE (ol753 @ Jun 30 2004, 12:11 AM) Mike Mangini did a drum clinic with a practice pad and a double pedal on a practice pad and blew everyone away still.its not how many tools you have, its what you do with what youve got True, but can a practice pad make the noise of a cymbal or cow bell? It cannot, skill is good to impress your mates with but if you're doing a cover of some obscure song... |

HDD Recovery (Jun 30 2004 00:58 GMT) - Hej! |

President Bush Accidentally Allowed To Be Interviewed By Real Journalist (Jun 30 2004 00:58 GMT) - The President's handlers foolishly granted a Presidential interview (RealPlayer interview starts about 20:40 in or, for those with sense, a transcript) to a non-White House Press Corps journalist, Carole Coleman, the Washington correspondent for RTE, the Irish national television network. When she asked him pointed, pertinent questions, he became upset when his stock answers failed to satisfy her. An aide to the President later complained that Coleman had overstepped the bounds of politeness — via BoingBoing |

GNOMEREPORT: Into The eFray (Jun 30 2004 00:57 GMT) - I had no idea that eBay was such a big business. I mean, sure - everybody uses it, and everybody's heard of it - but to have an entire industry revolve around a single online entity is almost unheard of these days. I'm seriously considering opening up a section or entire channel and devoting it to auction tips, tricks, hints, help, and resources. We've already got a semi-live listing going on over in the Auction room. Of course, the Trading Post is still alive and well in our forums. |

TIP: Automatically Clear Temporary Internet Files (Jun 30 2004 00:57 GMT) - By Diana Huggins In order to improve performance and reduce the amount of time spent waiting to view Web pages, Internet Explorer stores many of the Web pages and graphics you have viewed in a folder on your hard drive. Next time you revisit a Web site, Internet Explorer can use the content stored in the Temporary Internet Files folder to display the site content, instead of retrieving it from the Web. You can manually clear the contents of this folder in Internet Explorer by selecting Internet Options for the Tools menu. From the General tab, simply click the Delete Files button. You can also configure Internet Explorer to empty the contents of this folder when you close your browser. |

TCB: How I (Finally?) Beat Spyware (Jun 30 2004 00:57 GMT) - By Daniel Gray I think I've finally solved the spyware infestation on my PC, at least for now. While I sometimes feel like I've beaten the topic of spyware to death in the last month and a half or so, this nasty stuff has beaten the living daylights out of me. I have lost untold hours, no... make that days in the effort to remove spyware from my primary Windows computer. Through it all, this has been a frustrating task. |
