Who Framed Sergei Kiriyenko? (Jun 30 2004 11:23 GMT) - The smear campaign launched against Sergei Kiriyenko is the first sign of a new clash in the ongoing fight for power in Russia. The stake in that war is the Volga region, rich in oil, transport and machine building. The forces vying for influence within the Putin entourage believe the time has come to bring the lands along the banks of the Great Russian River back under the Kremlin's control. |

Converting the click to conversion mystery (Jun 30 2004 11:22 GMT) - I like the list. I'm not too sure about the "order of importance" of some of the items and would probably argue some of them. But it does give you soemthing to plan for. How does one know one's customers? How can them build a store to attract them? |

The Express Mania... (Jun 30 2004 11:22 GMT) - With the Express Family announce at TechEd Europe, Microsoft has attracted the attention of all the developers community (Pro MS and not). This is an important fact on the Microsoft strategy... with these family of products, MS can attract the attention also from little developers that maybe wants to start building application for the MS world but that cannot build their personal MSDN license because it's too expensive (I'm thinking about students, hobbists or people who like programming in general). If this product will be free (like SQL Server Express 2005) or with a sensible low cost (I hope lots about 100$) the Express Family will be a great success. Not only the normal MS developer could be attracted by this |
