Commodore (Jun 30 2004 22:55 GMT) - Who knew that Commodore (yea the company that brought us the Commodore 64 in the 80's) is still alive (and sort-of kicking)? It turns out that in 1993 the company started running into financial problems and in 1994 they closed but were later bought by Tulip Computers. According to their site they are actually working on coming out with new Commodore 64 products (whatever that means). One of these initiatives is the C64 mini video game console that is based on the Commodore 64 home PC and will be able to connect directly to a TV. |
