Hawking Gracefully, Formally Loses Black Hole Bet (Jul 21 2004 23:38 GMT) - Liora writes "Today at the 17th International Conference on General Relativity and Gravitation in Dublin, Cambridge University professor Stephen Hawking said in his talk titled The Information Paradox for Black Holes that he was wrong about the formation of an event horizon in a black hole, and that matter is not destroyed in a way defying subatomic theory, as he had previously believed. According to the talk's short, "the way the information gets out seems to be that a true event horizon never forms, just an apparent horizon." A New York Times story and a Wired story are available, both apparently based on Reuters information." (This is the formal announcement promised last week.) |

Kofi Annan to Israel: Die Already (Jul 21 2004 23:37 GMT) - The rotten-hearted Kofi Annan says that Israel should tear down her defense against the child-killing genocidal Palestinian terror gangs, in spite of their "unhappiness" with the judgment of the UN's International Kangaroo Court: Annan Urges Israel to Tear Down West Bank Barrier. Greetings from New Hampshire... (Jul 21 2004 23:36 GMT) - Welcome ITGProductions I almost moved to New Hampshire when I was thirteen, and my father was offered a job there. Would have lived in Nashau. Instead, he ended up starting a business with some friends and we moved to New Jersey. I remember it being a beautiful place, but I think we were all scared by a considerable amount of snow on the ground in mid April. Good to have you join us. |

gaps in links? (Jul 21 2004 23:31 GMT) - The spiderman site looks really good. Between the Matrix, Spiderman, and Harry Potter sites, you have a nice portfolio that shows off what seems to be a similar style in all three. Are you still putting these together to help get you into school? If so, what you've done so far is pretty impressive. I'd be tempted to suggest that you try out another style if you're going to do any more for the portfolio to maybe show some diversity of talent. |
