- Yes, but it also gets somewhat more complex than that (hence the decline in the use of doorway pages) because the link counts count too. In other words, a page which is only linked to from one page (even if it is the homepage) isn't being shown to be as important as a page that is linked to from every page (as your homepage will probably be). Finding a way to provide the links so that these pages are not shown to be of lower value, yet not make them get in the way of other pages, well, that's the trick. The thing is to think it through and find your own solution that will work, without trying to hide the links. |
