UK Wizz - new SE in beta (Aug 31 2004 23:23 GMT) - Well it certainly can't do any harm. It's quite a daunting task to approach an org like the bbc with such a big question though lol. I actualy sat down tonight and worked out just what powering search on a large site would require. It is basicaly the ability to replicate the existing data over more servers and in effect load ballence between them. I already do this to a very small extent to reduce down time. |
