It is time for Linux! (Oct 27 2004 23:24 GMT) - Back in the 90's I used unix/xenix and it could easily serve 16 terminals running different office / business (mainly text apps) with great ease and speed. The server that controlled all these dumb terminals? A 386 with about 8meg of ram.... If linux is anything as efficient as xenix/unix used to be, then I cant wait for more apps to be ported over. Im not swapping yet though. |
