- Eve (who isn't going to vote at all!) has an interesting post that comes fairly close to my own thoughts on the upcoming election, in which both of the two main candidates are seriously flawed. I find Bush severely disappointing on a number of grounds -- the Iraq War, his increases in government spending, his increases in government, the growing deficit, and the threats to civil liberties that are emerging on his watch. I thought conservative Republicans were supposed to give us cheaper, less meddling government (less meddling in this country and less meddling in other people's countries), not more of it. On most of these things, though, Kerry would be just as bad or worse, feeding Leviathan and charging us through the nose for it. |
