- Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act has received Royal Assent and includes Yet Another Power of Entry into Your Home or Business Premises by Petty Officials, without the need to obtain a warrant from a magistrate: "23 Power to enter and remain on premises After section 453 of the Companies Act 1985 insert— “453A Power to enter and remain on premises (1) An inspector or investigator may act under subsection (2) in relation to a company if— (a) he is authorised to do so by the Secretary of State, and (b) he thinks that to do so will materially assist him in the exercise of his functions under this Part in relation to the company. (2) An inspector or investigator may at all reasonable times— (a) require entry to relevant premises, and (b) remain there for such period as he thinks necessary for the purpose mentioned in subsection (1)(b). (3) Relevant premises are premises which the inspector or investigator believes are used (wholly or partly) for the purposes of the company’s business. (4) In exercising his powers under subsection (2), an inspector or investigator may be accompanied by such other persons as he thinks appropriate. |

- This is good news as the original creator of CWShredder had called it quits and posted his final update for the tool last June. Well he sold the source code and rights to CWShredder to Intermute and they have a standalone free download of the tool. I haven't tried it out yet, right at the moment I have no need of it. My experiences in the past were that this was one of the only programs that could remove this pest so it good to see it being actively maintained again. |

Both the Mayor of Chacao and the Goevrnro of Miranda rebuked the Minister of the Interior and Justice for his threats, sending the message that come closing time people will be going to voting centers to see the counting. The Mayor of Chacao threatened back, saying they will open all of the boxes like teh law says. Confrontation ahead? |
