In the audience have 100 randomly selected people with buttons. Each candidate is asked questions about where they stand on various issues, maybe a week before the voters could be given the opportunity to send in questions then someone works out what the most popular issues are and combine those questions to form the questions asked. The 100 audience members with buttons are told that if they think a candidate is avoiding a question, waffling, lying or just generally trying to mislead people then they should push the button and release it when they think the candidate has got back on question, stopped waffling &c. |
