The reason I'm mentioning this is because we went to see Le Grand Macabre last Friday, which just happened to be its American premier. In a word, it was craptastic. It's a thoroughly modern affair, both in terms of the music and the plot (if you want to call it that, it's more like four sketches strung together). |
