Internet Archive Loses in Copyright Lawsuit (Dec 01 2004 00:59 GMT) - Darron writes "A federal judge has ruled against legal scholars and archivists who challenged current copyright law. The Internet Archive, a nonprofit digital library, and the Prelinger Archives, which preserves films filed suit against the U.S. Justice Department in hopes of making it easier to archive old literature and films on the Internet, where they would be available free to the public. Campaign of criticism on Web Design from Scratch (Dec 01 2004 00:57 GMT) - I'd never heard of Harvey Nichols till Scratch put up his review. I agree with Bill - the comments were handled with a lot of grace and level-headedness. I think there's a lot to learn from that, too! We used to get snippets from a 'Web Doctor' show on one of our local radio stations, too. That guy, quite honestly, knew next to nothing about web design and his audience was the stay-at-home Moms who wanted a quick web site to generate lot of $$. |
