(Dec 01 2004 23:27 GMT) - Canadian demonstrators block downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, 01 December, 2004, as they protested against the visit of US President George W. Bush. The President personally thanked Canada for sheltering 33,000 US citizens stranded on its soil when US airspace closed during the September 11 attacks in 2001. World AIDS Day -- today -- is as good a day as any to get an HIV test, and the web provides a number of search tools for finding free, anonymous testing near you (as well as AIDS education and safer-sex support). More options than ever are out there. For instance, where I live here in LA, one organization offers free oral testing (no blood draws) in trailers that drive up to areas near nightclubs and shopping districts. |
