Netflix Goes Social (Dec 02 2004 23:42 GMT) - As Netflix has been working hard to figure out ways to stay ahead of the expanding competition, it looks like they're really trying to leverage the large and (mostly) loyal community built up around the DVD rental service. BuzzHit points out that Hacking Netflix has the scoop on Netflix expanding into the social networking space, leveraging their community to recommend additional movies to each other. It's an interesting move not just in the sense of Netflix continuing to innovate the way they interface with customers, but also in showing how all this "social networking" stuff, really is a "feature" to complement other services. |

Today's links (Dec 02 2004 23:39 GMT) - Here's the old Today icon from the original WEBmikey. I guess I thought TV was my window into what's going on now, but probably I just couldn't think of anything else to use. The Today section started as simple thoughts on what was going on in my current life, which was kind of like a blog before I had discovered Blogger!
