- Today as part of my psychology reading I was reading "Interpersonal Dynamics in a Simulated Prison" which is the 1973 article about the infamous Zimbardo Prison Experiment in which Stanford students became prisoners and guards in a simulated prison environment. The article is pretty readable and describes the aims of the experiment, how it was set up, how it operated, and how they evaluated the results. The results suprised them. The prisoners really became prisoners, came to identify themselves as prisoners and act accordingly. |
