New Registry Tweak (Dec 06 2004 21:59 GMT) - Here's a Registry tweak for you folks who don't need a throbber in the Windows [XP] Explorer. It'll completely wipe out that Windows logo (but keep the one inside IE intact). I'm addicted to optimizing Windows via Regedit - although you should be careful when doing anything in there! If you're looking for a Registry cleaner, check here. [Disable] [Enable] Steve over at TweakXP has tons of Registry "hacks. |

KAUS ON LANGUAGE: Repackaged rhetoric ... (Dec 06 2004 21:59 GMT) - KAUS ON LANGUAGE: Repackaged rhetoric will save the Dems! I like "poison-free communities" (instead of "environmental protection")--but somehow I don't think "public protection attorneys" (i.e. trial lawyers) will fly. |

www.adventureinsurance.com - site review please (Dec 06 2004 21:59 GMT) - Hi prtygrl, First thing I noticed, On this page- /pages/products.html there doesn't seem to be any way of getting back to any of the other sections of the site. Also no site banner etc, which could be confusing if anyone landed on that page first. Minor point, when going between the home page and about us page the top navigation links move, seems like a difference between spacing on the two pages. Something to consider, you could make the logo. |

A Cool Christmas Mix CD (Dec 06 2004 21:57 GMT) - Here's a challenge: I want to create a mix CD of genuinely cool Christmas music. In my book, 'cool' and 'Christmas music' rarely occur in the same sentence, so we can't set our expectations too high. Here's what I've got so far: River - Travis - Thanks to Todd for reminding me about this song. |

It's an iPod world 12/6 (Dec 06 2004 21:57 GMT) - Windley's tutorial on creating podcasts Satellite iPod rumors Rich and I are having a running discussion about the iPod and Apple's ability to continue to dominate this business. Certainly the development of a community of developers and partners as the above links illustrate is a powerful asset for Apple. As a 4 iPod household, I've certainly voted with my feet. But...it is not a very sticky experience, I could move all my media to a competitive player tomorrow and lose very little. |
