Another Beckham Drama (Dec 06 2004 23:29 GMT) - The Beckhams' annus horribilis shows no signs of ending on a quiet note. After a tumultuous year fraught with infidelity rumours, professional setbacks, and yet another failed Posh comeback, David and Victoria thought that things would eventually turn around. After all, they're expecting their 3rd son in a few months, she seems to have finally found her true passion by designing high priced jeans for Rock & Republic, David has managed for the most part to keep his c*ck confined to boundaries of his frigid marriage, and of course there's an event to plan! |

We try not to talk to your front, honest ... (Dec 06 2004 23:29 GMT) - There is a rather amusing observation in a report on This is London (the London Evening Standard's website) in a brief article about an ongoing case at the Old Bailey: A Lord Chancellor's official accused of raping a senior civil servant was the sort of man who "talked to your tits," his alleged victim told the Old Bailey this afternoon. The 38-year-old woman said bachelor Michael Burrell was the sort of man who existed in every office. She said Burrell used to hang around her office and he became the butt of office gossip. "When you think they are talking to you, they are talking to your tits, and he was that kind of man," she said. |

Make Neither Love Nor Spam (Dec 06 2004 23:29 GMT) - Last week I wrote about Lycos's controversial anti-spam screensaver. Predictably, the whole effort went pear-shaped and Lycos got into spin-mode:Lycos has shut down the campaign saying it had been started to stimulate debate about anti-spam measures and had now achieved this aim...But the campaign was controversial from the moment it kicked off and many net veterans criticised it for using spamming-type tactics against the senders of junk mail. Some net service firms began blocking access to the Lycos Europe site in protest at the action. |
