Radio still notifies weblogs.com when I make changes... (Dec 11 2004 00:59 GMT) - I'm not certain if I am going to renew my Radio account, so I am trying to clear out my cloud space and use it for experimentation. Since I am making frequent changes to the website that add nothing to the ether I unchecked the preference to notify weblogs.com. Well, even though the preference is unchecked (and has remained unchecked across several restarts) I thought I was able to make my changes in relative obscurity...until I checked http: |

It's cold where I live (Dec 11 2004 00:59 GMT) - It's the 10th of December and winter is setting in. As I type this it's -10 C and there is about 8" of snow on the ground. This, of course, makes me think of a Warm July evening on the lake. Truly my favourite place to be. |

Trying to upload an Mp3 file (Dec 11 2004 00:58 GMT) - Just installed the software yesterday and I'm trying to upload an Mp3 file - eventually want to do a podcast. When I look at the file (I copied it from elsewhere on my hard drive and put it in the Gems directory I was able to access the file and copy it elsewhere on my hard drive - but when I look at the published version, and I right click and copy it to my hard drive, the file size is only 1KB instead of 9992KB and even though the file extension says MP3 when I copied it from my weblog on to my hard drive, it told me that the actual file format didn't match the file extension. It appears something happened to the file when it uploaded and it actually isn't being treated as an MP3 file on the published version of my weblog. Can anybody help me and tell me what I did wrong - my weblog is listed below. Thanks in advance http: |

Joe's Ultralight Backpacking (Dec 11 2004 00:57 GMT) - My goal with this site is not to be a comprehensive "one-stop shopping" source for ultralight backpacking, but rather a good place to get your feet wet, get some ideas, see actual gear lists that work for me (instead of some hypothetical case), and get yet another perspective on things. Between this site and the links to other ultralight sites and suppliers, you should have more than enough info to get you started on the path of ultralight wandering. Or at the very least, help you shed 10 pounds or so off your current load without sacrificing any basic creature comforts. |

Unholy Alliance - Radical Islam and the American Left (Dec 11 2004 00:57 GMT) - Horowitz also provides useful historical context for this unlikely romance. Over the past century, he argues, the radical Left in Europe and the U.S. has come to define itself as a “movement against, rather than a movement for.” Primarily, of course, its target has been the United States, no matter what the United States has stood for. |
