- I've had this DVD rented for a long time, since my parents enjoyed this movie so much last year, but I didn't get around to watching it until recently. I'm glad I waited, because this is kind of a Christmas movie, with all the events taking place the week before Christmas! The plot is a collection of about ten stories of folks in London, all slightly connected (brothers and sisters, work mates, and so on) but each one stands alone. I absolutely loved it, because the whole movie truly celebrates love - not just the perfect fairy tale, but even the rejected, the forbidden, and unexpected love. There are stories about losing love through death, falling in love with a best friend's spouse, having the courage to express love, and finding love even when it's "inconvenient". |
