Kathryn Graham, a Pagan author, ... (Dec 16 2004 05:47 GMT) - Kathryn Graham, a Pagan author, has a thoughtful piece on the "Christmas wars" and the spiteful religious snarking going on this year. Speaking of snarking, looks like Scientology is in season again. Hardly seems fair, really. After all, what religion... |

Speaking of Potter (Dec 16 2004 05:45 GMT) - Recent news on the Leaky Cauldron has fans buzzing about a subtle change to JKRowling.com. Until just last week, the Welcome page used to say (emphasis added): This is where I can tell you the truth about rumours or news stories, where I can share the extra information I haven't put in the books, where I can give you hints and clues about what's going to happen to Harry next, and where I can announce I've finished book six... and no, that's not going to happen very soon. |

Refresh (Dec 16 2004 05:45 GMT) - Here are revised style sheets and assorted unread copyedits: another night’s imperfect offering. The Secret Mushroom of Christmas (Dec 16 2004 05:45 GMT) - James Arthur claims that the Amanita muscaria mushroom can be found at the roots of most existing religious writings. He goes on to say that today's religions do not explain the significance of its origins but discount it as purely symbolic and of little or no importance. Arthur's fascination with Amanita muscaria led him to question origins of the Christmas tradition, a question, he says, that most people never ask without finding a completely dogmatic answer. |

Edo lets you combine and manipulate video files, 3D sequences and still images in a non-destructive way using a powerful node graph visual interface. The use of modern video card graphics processors (GPUs) enables true realtime performance, and support for industry standard file formats helps integrate Edo into many kinds of workflow. At the heart of Edo is the composition tree, a graph that offers a unified view of all the operations that result in the final image. |
