- Ofcom announced yesterday that it was to launch a new round of 3G licence auctions for 13 new radio spectrum allocations. According to the report, new bidders will be able to offer competitive 3G services cheaper than existing licence holders. The companies that are looking to bid for these new licences include BT and Virgin, but they will have to wait for Ofcom to announce the proceedings and allocation arrangements in the next few weeks. |
