Amazingly, I agree 95 percent with a Republican Congressman from Texas. Yikes. We are not yet living in a total police state, but it is fast approaching. The 45-year-old, who lives at the Chamunda Devi temple in Himachal Pradesh, naps while leaning on a specially made swing. He says he has never felt the need to take a break. The sage reportedly continued with his feat after taking a vow to remain standing for 41 days. |

This week, in "Synthetic Vision is no fake," Washington Technology brings us more details about the technologies used by this program. Synthetic Vision integrates GPS, a high-resolution display, detailed terrain databases and an integrity monitor that ensures the land below corresponds to the synthetic view. The pilot sees the terrain, the potential obstacles, his approach and the runway. NASA says these technologies could also be used for air traffic control or military applications. |
