Høj ping under spil (Dec 23 2004 22:19 GMT) - Hej Når jeg spiller over nettet stiger min ping til ca. 500 hvert andet min. Har prøvet at formatere uden held og har tjekket for spyware og virus. Jeg har normal ping når jeg sidder på ventilo og ellers ingen andre problemer med hastigheden. Min brors comp har helt normal ping og det har heller ikke hjulpet at prøve med en anden router. |

Alcohol may boost HIV risk from oral sex (Dec 23 2004 22:19 GMT) - Lab experiments show that cells that line the mouth become more susceptible to infection with HIV when they're exposed to alcohol. The finding suggests that drinking alcohol may facilitate HIV infection by oral sex, say Dr. Jun-ying Zheng of the UCLA Dental Institute and colleagues. While alcohol consumption has been linked to HIV infection, the researchers note, most studies have focused on its effect on risky sexual behavior rather than any direct effect on the mechanism of infection. |

DNA stool test promising for cancer detection (Dec 23 2004 22:19 GMT) - A non-invasive test that detects mutated tumor DNA in feces may be a useful method of screening for colorectal cancer, according to new research findings. In the study, some 4400 average-risk adults age 50 or older were checked for signs of colon cancer using a standard test (Hemoccult II) that detects hidden blood in stool, or the new fecal DNA test, as well as 'gold standard' colonoscopy. |

Women doctors at heightened risk for suicide (Dec 23 2004 22:19 GMT) - Physicians -- especially female physicians -- face a higher suicide risk than the general population, according to a new report.
