Unblanding the past (Dec 23 2004 23:50 GMT) - For some reason, we tend to see the past as bland and washed out. This isn't just a matter of saying, "Oh, life was simpler then." I mean, literally, we remove all color and taste from it. We confuse our our visual represenentations of the past as monochromatic and sepia-tinted with the past actually having been dull and tasteless. Consider classical sculpture. |

Yo Apple, make this happen (Dec 23 2004 23:49 GMT) - Now that I have a phone that takes some impressive photos (This shot is probably the best example I've seen for color, depth, and light that the little cam can capture), I really wish iPhoto could manage my images instead of my preview-free bluetooth file browser. ... I bet it'd be trivial for Apple to enable connections via Bluetooth (to your paired devices) to import photos. |

She had been alone for 2 months with just an animal carer who went in to feed her. Now she has come to live with us. Someone suggested that we might be a good family for her... |
