Just Playing Around (Dec 23 2004 23:30 GMT) - I was playing around with Photoshop last night and came up with some interesting effects. I am also trying out a new camera. I haven't taken it to the streets yet but will soon. I figured I would practice on Me first to see how the quality was. Of course the effects were added later. |

Volunteers needed to air VegVideo on local TV (Dec 23 2004 23:29 GMT) - Public access television is a great resource where residents can submit television shows of any issues that are of concern to them. It is a great place to air messages that do not get appropriate attention in traditional media and therefore a great place to air the vegetarian message. |

ecommerce site abandonment (Dec 23 2004 23:28 GMT) - Am typing with an injured hand... High winds took the kids trampoline - one of those big ones with the net - up over our fenced in backyard and into the neighbors yard. It's sitting in tangled heap over part of the now broken split rail fence and tall evergreens...deep cut on my hand while a bunch of us were trying to move it (it's very big) in a strong wind and driving rain. Anyway, thanks to Alan Webb for this find. |

Who would'a thunk it? (Dec 23 2004 23:28 GMT) - Still another reason to keep your car locked. I'd never heard of airbags being stolen before, but apparently it's becoming more and more common.More than 75,000 air bags are stolen every year ... costing insurers and vehicle owners more than $50 million annually. A search of an online auction showed 28 pages of airbags, ranging in price from $16 for one to $400 for a set. |

What do you see in your crystal ball for 2005? (Dec 23 2004 23:28 GMT) - As I expect 2005 to be a BIG year, these predictions are more for the later part of 2005 (maybe even 2006?).. 1/ Google moves into unknown territory once again 2/ MSN gets a huge push from mainstream media 3/ A 2nd boom in search and the industry in general - real one too! 4/ People grow to appreciate the internet and the technologies evolving around it 5/ A massive wave of local search (yes folks) takes off as the mainstream heads to the net for a cheaper more convienient shop (yes people get lazier too...) 6/ Map search evolves into a new paradigm within search 7/ I stop going to work (well maybe! |
