Mozilla Update website gets a facelift (Dec 24 2004 18:59 GMT) - Mozilla Update has gone through a facelift and now looks much better than before (and also, more importantly, it now looks and feels like the main mozilla.org site). I haven't seen any announcement on this yet on mozilla.org nor on MozillaZine |

Sony Direct-to-DVD Camcorder (Dec 24 2004 18:58 GMT) - The first thing that comes to mind when seeing Sony's DCR-DVD7E is that it looks rather like a Discman, but this is of course only because it must make room for a DVD-R, DVD-RW, or DVD+RW to use as recording media. The unit, announced yesterday in Europe, has a 2.5-inch LCD viewfinder on the back, and despite perhaps looking a bit unimpressive, the lens does a respectable 10x optical zoom. No idea what it's going to cost when it hits European shelves in May. ... |

There's extensive discussion on the topic at HowardForums and PDAStreet, but the message seems pretty clear: customers aren't getting what they're paying for, and they're mighty peeved.
