Photo Feed (Dec 26 2004 19:58 GMT) - For those of you who have been asking where the RSS feed for my moblog is, you can go ahead and syndicate it right here. While I can't promise photos of celebrities, I can promise photos of monotony. I'll just go on the record and say that my moblog is a likely cure for insomnia. |

Where's the blogosphere on first-hand earthquake reports? (Dec 26 2004 19:57 GMT) - [Meerkat: An Open Wire Service] - By the way, PubSub really rocks (it lets you search blogs only and build an RSS feed so you can watch a specific search term over time -- something none of the big three search engines let you do). My posts only took a few minutes to start showing up in the earthquake feed I built. There's remarkably little blogging going on about the earthquake. |

A new review of Freehold, by Mike Williamson (Dec 26 2004 19:56 GMT) - Back in January, I wrote a review of Freehold for The Libertarian Enterprise. At that time I pretty much concentrated on the first half of the book, since that part pretty much dealt with what a true libertarian society might be like. Now, after re-reading the book for about the fifth time, and seeing the news from Iraq for the last few months, I have decided to do a new review for this new site. |

A Timeline For Alzheimer's Treatment (Dec 26 2004 19:56 GMT) - HealthDay reports that "many of the professionals who attended the ninth international conference on Alzheimer's Disease in Philadelphia this past summer predicted a viable treatment within the next 10 years." Alzheimer's research has been a priority for the NIA since the early 1990s; in many ways, the current state of public and private funding mirrors the the fight against cancer that commenced in the 1970s. The big difference is that it may take half as long and a fraction of the cost to win this war - one of many benefits of modern medical technology. Advocates for healthy life extension would like to see the same powerful engines of science, funding and public opinion turned to aging and serious anti-aging research. |

gmail email invites (Dec 26 2004 19:55 GMT) - It's been a while since the gmail craze crested and I've been mostly ignoring the invites piling up but today I came across a blog post from someone looking for an invite. If you're still looking for an invite, let me know here and I'll see if I can hook you up. I think I've got about 60 invites so I doubt I'll run out any time soon. I'll need your first and last name and an un-obfuscated email address.... |
