Bouncing Spam :: Good or Bad (Dec 29 2004 23:18 GMT) - The only effective way of dealing with spam seems to be to change your email address, and then make sure your address isn't visible on any webpage for harvesting, and take sensible steps to keep your email private. Use several addresses so that you have throw away addresses to give to people whom you feel may abuse it. Alot of people won't change their email address because they think they will touch with the world if they do, but in my experience this doesn't happen. In my case if my email bounces back to the sender they then tend to go to my website and use the contact form there, or even pick up the phone. As Spam get worse and worse people are getting used to the fact that people have to change adresses. |
