- For those paranoid folks out there, here's a fun page to bookmark. Its the continuously updated JPL Near Earth Object tracking and impact projection summary page. A few days ago, 2004 MN4 actually reached 4 on the Torino Scale and had a 1 in 45 chance of hitting earth in 2029. It wasn't a global killer, but it was still a large hunk of rock, about 400m across. However, it's odds of impact have since been greatly reduced due to new observations. |
