war driving (Dec 31 2004 15:08 GMT) - War Driving GuildfordI decided I would try out the neighborhood again to see if there was any WiFi I could leech off instead of YASV (Yet Another Starbucks Visit). So I loaded my 12 volt converter in the car with the laptop, a cup of tea and 2 hours to kill. Guess what, I didn't get 15 yards from the house before iStumbler reported an open Netgear box! I've been sucking down megabytes for the past 30 minutes and haven't quite located the access point, but I bet I can pick it up from home with an external antenna.... I guess a neighbor got the last port before me : |
