Trance (Dec 31 2004 18:57 GMT) - I don't know if I have told many people, but I like trance. Quite a bit. Terms for 2005 (Dec 31 2004 18:57 GMT) - The project team for this large project I'm working with have come up with some terminology for 2005 based on some of our observations of various groups we have to interact with: guenius (gween-yuss) - Smarter than a genius, a guenius is not only smarter, but find ways to inform you that in no way has any application, file, functionality requirement, or design concept that they oversee or worked on can possibly have be buggy or not well thought out. One must be a fool for even suggesting such their work is flawed. A guenius will subsequently avoid you once proven wrong.multi-level hackitecture (hack-eh-tek-chure) - Hackitecture itself is application architecture which has been made functional by hacking together poor code or cramming together unrelated pieces of code in a poor and inefficient way. |

It's a remote control submarine that you play with in the bath. I guess it'll give me something else to play with in the bath besides my penal system. It's cool as fuck, and it also fires a little orange torpedo. |

The Lost Continent (Dec 31 2004 18:55 GMT) - I've been chuckling evilly while reading this book; Bill Bryson looks very cuddly and teddy-bear-ish, but writes like a born-again curmudgeon. Also in "Books" news, I've added links to my All Consuming Favorite Books and Currently Reading pages. |
