- I had no idea there was such a thing as the French Country Music Awards. My level of respect for France has grown marginally. To be honest I was one of those people who linked every kind of music except country music growing up. I don't know if is the influence of my country music lovin' American wife or if the country music "scene" has changed that much over the past 10 years but it is my hands down favorite genre now - best lyrics, best beats, hottest women, good values, and a very vibrant community of artists pumping out hit after hit.
